Improve Your Photography Skills

Whether you are a new photographer or one that has been taking photos for years, this class will show you how to improve your everyday photos with useful, easy tips.
Get an overview of the mechanics of taking great pictures and review some great postproduction techniques that will improve your printed photos.
This workshop will include two printed and framed photos that we will share and discuss during the second session.
The first session Discussion:
- Aperture
- Shutter Speeds
- ISO Settings
- Sharp Focus
- Understanding Composition basics
- The effect of light on your photography
- How and where to get your photos printed
First Session Assignment:
- Put the skills to work by taking one photo depicting Roseau County and one photo subject chosen by the participant.
- Send final photos to the Roseau County Museum by May 16
The second session:
- Discussion and feedback on participants’ final photos
- Photographs will be placed on display at the museum for a photo exhibit
- Photos will be on display until August 29
- Participants can then pick up their photos
Required Equipment: Any camera, including mobile phone cameras
Place: Roseau County Museum Theater Room

Second Session: Saturday, June 4th 10:00-11:30 am
