DESCRIPTION:Capturing Stories\, Preserving Memories\nHave you ever wished you had asked more questions about your family history? Stories fade with time\, and once they’re gone\, they’re gone for good. \nJoin us on Saturday\, September 13\, from 10 AM–12 PM at the Roseau County Museum Research Center for a hands-on workshop with Caleb Curfman on the art of capturing oral history. \nThis workshop is a chance to slow down\, listen\, and learn how to preserve the voices and memories of the past 30+ years—stories that deserve to be remembered. Caleb will share simple\, practical tools to help you: \n\n\nCreate a comfortable space for conversation \n\n\nAsk the right open-ended questions \n\n\nHandle sensitive topics with care \n\n\nPreserve and archive the stories you collect \n\n\nWhether it’s a parent\, grandparent\, neighbor\, or community member\, their words carry history that can’t be found in books.
