SUMMARY:Light Up The Museum Tree Decorating 2025
DESCRIPTION:Get ready for the 2025 Light Up The Museum tree decorating contest at the Roseau County Museum!  The competition is open to everyone\, county-wide and beyond\, which can include individuals\, friends\, family\, groups\, organizations\, businesses\, and more. The goal is to bring creativity and imagination to decorate a tree at the museum. You can use traditional decorations like snowflakes\, candy canes\, angels\, and antique ornaments\, or think outside the box with unique items like model airplanes\, toys\, homemade décor\, hockey sticks\, and more. People who visit the museum during the event will be able to vote monetarily on their favorite trees. All proceeds will go to the Roseau County Museum for future exhibits. Cash prizes will be awarded for the top three trees with the most votes. \nIf you’re interested in participating\, you can use one of the museum’s artificial trees and lights\, or bring your own. The registration deadline is November 15\, and trees must be decorated by November 21. After November 15\, please call to check availability. Decorating can start as soon as Nov. 12. \nSign up here  \nThe event opens on November 24 with a musical program and baked potato bar. The catered meal has a suggested $15 donation per plate\, and we are not taking reservations; it will be served until gone\, starting at 5:30 pm. The museum will be open for visitors to view the trees from 5-8 pm on opening night. Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite trees by placing a monetary donation in boxes by the trees. Voting will continue through December 23\, and the top three voted trees will win a cash prize. All proceeds from the voting boxes will support the Roseau County Historical Society’s mission. \nThe Roseau County Museum is located in the Roseau City Center and will have special holiday hours on Saturdays from 10-2pm on December 6\, 13\, and 20. \n  \nIf you have any questions or need more information\, feel free to contact the museum at 218-463-1918 or at rchsroseau@gmail.com.
