DESCRIPTION:Puppet-Making Workshop for Kids with Artist Mitchell Olson\nFriday\, June 10 | 1:30–3:30 PM\nRoseau County Museum \nKick off the summer season with a creative\, hands-on experience designed for children ages 6–12. This workshop invites young participants to craft their very own folk art hand puppet to take home. Led by Lake Bronson artist Mitchell Olson\, known for his imaginative paper puppets—ranging from moose and loons to dragons and unicorns- this event offers a unique opportunity for children to explore art through storytelling and design. Olson creates each puppet without patterns\, relying instead on creativity and improvisation. \nThis event is FREE to attend\, but space is limited. DESCRIPTION:Whether you’re brand new to tie-dye or looking to refine your skills\, we have the perfect class for you! Join us to experience the joys of tie-dye using professional-quality dyes. This workshop covers everything you need to know to create a stunning tie-dye masterpiece from start to finish. \nParticipants will learn how to prepare dyes\, various folding techniques\, color theory\, and how to care for hand-dyed clothing. \nDetails: \nDate: Saturday\, June 28 \nTime: 10:30 AM \nLocation: Roseau County Fairground\, 4-H Food Stand Building \nCost: $15 due at sign-up to register for the class. Participants must pre-register. \nCapacity: Limited to 15 spots \nNote: Children under the age of 12 must be supervised. \nThis class will guide you from the initial step of soaking in soda ash to tying and dyeing the shirt with hands-on instruction. Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained and bring an old towel.
