Question: What does a person usually need more of in their home?
Happy New Year. We are a bit behind with our fund drive, but for good reason. We were awaiting the official word on the shelving grant we applied for in September. We asked for your support in raising matching funds for our grant submission. It came through, and we are elated.
We couldn’t have done it without you!
Your donation to last year’s fund drive brought in over $17,000, which helped prove the support behind the shelving project and the Museum’s mission.
So, the answer to the opening question is storage. The Museum takes in collection donations to continue our mission of collecting, preserving, and sharing. However, as we grow, we find storage at a premium.
This shelving project is necessary for our continued growth and will increase our main storage capacity by sixty percent! Which will allow us to protect the collection from damage and preserve it for future generations. The collection is the heart of your Museum and the single greatest asset.
You helped secure the “bones” of this shelving project, the beginning core. The second step is to purchase needed archival and storage supplies for added collection preservation. The archival boxes ($15-$100 each), protective covers ($50/roll), drawer liners ($60/roll), trays and dividers ($3-$20 per), and platform ladders ($2,000), to name a few.
Can we count on your continued support to help complete our shelving project needs? The needed supplies are necessary to preserve and maintain the integrity of the collection safely. The Museum would like to secure at least $15,000 for this project.
Contribute today and make an impact for generations.
Please join the others who’ve donated to this year’s fund drive. A reply card and return envelope are enclosed for your convenience, or you can make a secure donation online at www.roseaucohistoricalsociety.org. Remember, your gift is 100% tax-deductible!
We appreciate your support—the Museum benefits because of your generosity. Your support makes a difference in the sustainability of your county museum.
With Gratitude,
