Mystery, Music, and Memories: Roseau County Historical Society Unveils a Lineup of Summer Fun

Roseau, MN — July 2025 – The Roseau County Historical Society & Museum invites you to experience a thrilling and nostalgic season filled with toe-tapping tunes, time-honored traditions, and a little mystery. Mark your calendars for three unique events designed to engage the community and support the preservation of local history.


🎶 Gazebo Night Featuring The 60s Chicks – August 7, 2025

Location: Roseau Gazebo
Concert at 6 PM | Food at 5 PM

Join us for an unforgettable evening under the summer sky as The 60s Chicks take the stage with iconic hits from the British Invasion, Motown, Surfin’ USA, and the Age of Aquarius. This free concert is sure to delight generations of music lovers. The Roseau County Museum will be serving up Taco in a Bag starting at 5 PM to kick off the night.


🍲 Pioneer Potluck & Music with Cathy Erickson – August 24, 2025

Location: Roseau Pioneer Farm
Food at 1 PM | Music from 1:30 – 3 PM

Experience an afternoon of homegrown hospitality at the Roseau Pioneer Farm for our Pioneer Potluck. Enjoy a heartfelt performance by local favorite Cathy Erickson and daughter Mary Jo, followed by fellowship and community dining.

Guests are encouraged to bring a dish to share; we’ll provide beverages, plates, and silverware. While you’re here, take time to tour the historic Pinecreek Log Church, beautifully restored by the Historical Society. The event is free and open to the public—come and go anytime between 1 and 3 PM.


🎭 A Rockin’ Radical Night of Mystery – September 6, 2025

Step into the neon lights of the 1980s at the Murder Mystery Dinner Theater production of “I Love the 80s to Death”, an interactive show where guests become part of the performance! Held at the Roseau City Center, this one-night-only event promises intrigue, laughter, and a fully catered dinner with a dash of murder on the side.

  • Early Bird Tickets: On sale now through August 1 — General Seating: $55 | Golden VIP: $65

  • After August 1: $65 General | $75 VIP

  • Ticket Sales End: Midnight on August 23

  • Note: 21+ only. Mature themes. No tickets sold at the door.

The night includes a full dinner, silent auction, and a high-energy mystery with a rad 80s twist. Come dressed in your best 80s outfit and prepare to solve the crime of the night!
