Dear Roseau County Historical Society Members and Friends,
When you support the historical society, you support the preservation of Roseau County’s artifacts and history!
2020 marks the 125th anniversary of Roseau County’s creation and the 93rd anniversary of the establishment of Roseau County Historical Society. In April 1927, a group of men met to consider forming a county historical society. Steps were then taken to establish the historical society whose purpose would be to collect, preserve, and share the history of Roseau County. The collection of P. O. Fryklund was the basis of the original museum. The society continued to grow the collection and accepted donations related to the history of the county.
To this day new donations come in almost daily. We want to share all the great artifacts, photographs, and information, but that ability is limited due to space available. In the upcoming year we will focus on redesigning the layout of the museum and creating new exhibits to showcase the great artifacts we have in storage that are not always seen.
Your donation will help us to continue sharing the history of Roseau County to the nearly 7,000 yearly visitors. Your support will help touch up older exhibit displays, build new exhibits, and create colorful signage (done in-house) for the new museum design.
It is important that you know the historical society is a non-profit organization that receives a financial allocation from the county. Additional funds needed to operate the museum and provide services to our visitors come from your donations, memberships, and grants. For that reason, we ask for your support for the upcoming year so that we can maintain our high-quality museum.
Will you help us achieve our goal by donating today? Remember, your gift is 100% tax-deductible!
You can donate securely here on our website: www.roseaucohistoricalsociety.org
Thank you in advance for your support! We look forward to seeing you in 2020.
Sincerely,
Glenn Holm, President Britt Dahl, Executive Director
P.S. Your generous contributions last year made it possible to add additional programming, purchase archival materials for incoming donations, and share the history through our newsletter and website.
