About the Event

Break out your neon, tease that hair, and get ready to flash back to the 80s—where the fashion is loud, the music is louder, and murder is totally on the setlist.

The Roseau County Historical Society & Museum invites you to a one-night-only interactive mystery dinner theater featuring professional improv actors from The Murder Mystery Company (as seen on ABC’s Shark Tank). This fundraising event supports the creation of new educational and hands-on exhibits at the Roseau County Museum.

🎭 The Story

The stars have gathered for the ultimate 80s concert, but backstage drama turns deadly. Secrets leak into the spotlight, and before the encore hits… someone won’t make it to curtain call.

This isn’t Miami Vice. This is like…murder.

You and your table will work together to help solve the crime. Read your clue cards, watch the action unfold, and decide whodunit. You can participate as much—or as little—as you’d like. Just don’t forget your readers!

Each ticket includes a full three-course dinner:
• Caesar Salad
• Entrée Choice: Chicken Roulade or Deconstructed Beef Wellington
• Wild Rice Pilaf
• Triple Chocolate Mousse Trifle

A cash bar will be available. Water is complimentary; soda available for purchase.

Will I receive physical tickets?
Only if purchased at the museum. Online orders will receive a digital confirmation—please print or show at the door.

Do I need to dress up?
No, but 80s outfits are encouraged! There will be prizes for the best dressed.

Is alcohol available?
Yes. A full cash bar will be available, plus water and soda.

Are there other fundraising activities?
Yes! Silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and more. Participation is optional but encouraged.

Can I donate if I can’t attend?

Do I have to participate in the mystery?
Nope! Watch, laugh, eat, enjoy—participation is optional.

Is the event accessible?
Yes, the Roseau City Center is fully handicap accessible.

What does “Mature Audience” mean? 
There may be some low use of foul language and minor sexual innuendos, think PG-13 to low-grade R.

Meal Options 
The attendee has two food options. There is are no dietary options being offered.

Our caterer is coming out of Thief River Falls, Hooked Up Caterering.
