The Roseau County Museum is gearing up for the 5th Annual Indoor Christmas Tree Walk. We invite county organizations, groups, businesses, daycares, friends, individuals, etc., to decorate a tree. We supply artificial trees and lights on a first-come basis. You decorate with your unique decorations. The trees must be decorated by November 20. There will be an opening event on November 22, 7:00 pm at the museum following the opening meal and program.
- Registration Fee: $10 Registration form, due by November 17; download here or fill out the online form below.
- Visitors can vote for their favorite tree with prizes awarded for the top 3 trees through December 23.
We will open the Tree Walk on November 22 following an evening program and meal. The evening will start at 5 pm with a soup and sandwich meal, followed by a program with The O’Neil Family at 6 pm. The O’Neil Family Band has been holding community dances, presenting concerts, and performing together since the 1990s. With Tom on guitar and fiddle, Jeanne on banjo and
concertina, and daughter Erin on fiddle and feet, the O’Neils’ repertoire includes both traditional and original reels, jigs, waltzes, schottisches, hornpipes, and songs. With roots in
Métis, French Canadian, Scandinavian, Celtic, New England, and Appalachian tunes, their music is a unique blend of these traditions with a style all its own.
The music is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
Museum admission is always free.
Regular Hours are 9:30-5 pm Monday- Friday
Special Holiday Hours: Saturdays 11 – 4 pm, November 27 – December 18
The trees will be on display through December 23rd.
