Another great success for the second annual tree walk. It is always fun to see how each tree is uniquely decorated.
We invite county organizations, groups, and businesses to decorate a tree for the tree walk. The museum has trees and lights available. All decorations are provided by the group.
Visitors place money in boxes at each tree to vote for their favorite(s). The top three trees with the most money donated during the contest win a cash prize. All proceeds from the boxes benefit the Roseau County Historical Society’s mission of collecting, preserving, and sharing Roseau County history.
Thank you to everyone that decorated trees and those that came to visit the museum during the tree walk. This year’s groups were: Cool Clover Kids 4-H, Lucky Border Stars Relay Team, Pinecreek WELCA, Roseau School PTO, Roseau 4-H Shooting Sports Club, Roseau Public Library, Roseau Women of Today, Sons of Norway Nordlys Lodge, and Weight Watchers.
Start thinking about 2018, let’s see how creative your group can get.
Pictured here are this year’s top three winners: L-R: Sons of Norway Nordlys Lodge (1st), Pinecreek WELCA (Ladies Aid)(2nd), Roseau 4-H Shooting Sports Club (3rd).
