Barn Quilt Painting Class

Barn Quilt Painting Class with Sandra Melby
March 28 | 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Cost: $20 | Pre-registration required
Join us for a hands-on Barn Quilt Painting Class led by artist Sandra Melby. Barn quilts are a form of American folk art inspired by traditional quilt blocks, first popularized in rural communities as a way to celebrate agricultural heritage, craftsmanship, and local identity. Painted on wood and displayed on barns, homes, and public buildings, these bold geometric designs have become a recognizable symbol of rural history and creativity.
In this guided class, participants will explore classic patterns and paint their own barn quilt square (12×12) to take home. No prior painting experience is required—this class is designed for beginners and experienced creatives alike.
