**Location:** Greenwood Cemetery, Strathcona, MN
**Date:** Saturday, May 17, 2025
**Time:** 10:30 AM THIS CLASS IS FULL SOLD OUT
**Cost:** $20 per person (Space is limited to 12 participants)
**Add-On Starter Kit:** $40 This kit includes a 1-gallon pail, brushes, scrapers, bamboo skewers, and a spray bottle of cleaning solution. Must purchase in advance.
Join the Roseau County Historical Society & Museum for a hands-on, one-hour workshop. A trained professional from Murray Cemetery Preservation, LLC will teach you how to clean and care for headstones and grave markers respectfully and effectively.
**In this workshop, you will learn about:**
– Headstone styles and common types of stone found in the Midwest
– What not to do when cleaning grave markers
– Safe cleaning techniques
– Tools and materials for proper care
– How to raise and level simple stones

We will provide all the necessary tools and materials. Just bring your curiosity and love for history.
Please dress for outdoor work. Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and layers suitable for the weather.
