April 15 | 6 pm | Warroad School Theater

Free, Open to the Public

Minnesota historian and photographer Doug Ohman will present a program centered on America’s 250th, exploring the history of communities, buildings, and landmarks that have shaped both Minnesota and the nation. Through a combination of historic photographs and storytelling, Ohman highlights how everyday places and people connect to the larger American story.

Drawing from decades of travel and research across the state, Ohman shares insights into historic churches, towns, and architecture, along with the stories behind them. His program offers a look at how local history fits into the broader timeline of the country, leading up to the United States’ 250th anniversary in 2026.

This presentation brings history to life in a way that is easy to follow, engaging, and rooted in the places we know, offering a deeper understanding of how our communities have grown and why those stories still matter today.

Hosted by the Roseau County Museum, Lake of the Woods County Historical Society, and Warroad Heritage Center.

The presenter is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
