Watercolor Wanderings – Plein Air painting with Debbie Aune

Capture scenic views and bring them to life on canvas! Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a curious beginner, this is the perfect opportunity to learn, create, and enjoy painting outdoors.

What You Need to Know:
- Paint for three days, all day, or choose a session—discount for multiple sessions.
- Create up to 5 canvases throughout the entire event.
- Bring your own setup or use Debbie’s setups for just an additional $5.
- Want to buy your own supplies? We have a list* below to get you started.
- Cost: $10 per session – must pre-register**
- Each session is limited to 15 painters, age 16+
- Promo code online when you attend multiple sessions.
Schedule:
August 7:
- Sessions: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM – Kids 10+
- 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM – 16+ to adults
- Start each session at the museum.
- Venture with the group throughout town to paint landscapes.
- A new scene each session.
August 8:
- Sessions: 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM – Kids 10+
- 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM – 16+ to adults
- Start each session at the museum.
- Venture with the group throughout town to paint landscapes.
- A new scene each session.
August 9:
- Morning painting session only 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM – 16+ to adults
- Artist reception from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM to showcase your work. Open to the public
- Please leave your paintings at the museum until Friday for the Artist Reception.
- Enjoy refreshments as we celebrate your artistic skills!

Artist Reception: Paintings done during the “Watercolor Wanderings” event will be showcased at the Roseau City Center. This will be open to the public.
*Supply list suggested by Debbie to start your own Plein Air Watercolor journey
- Paper:100% cotton watercolor paper. Arches, Kilimanjaro are excellent papers
- Masking tape
- Watercolor paint pallet
- Water container
- Soft lead pencil
- Drawing board or foam board is used to tape the watercolor paper down.
- Brushes: “If you had only one brush to bring to the workshop, bring a #16 Silver, Black Velvet brand” – Debbie
- Optional: lawn chair if you prefer to sit while painting
