Indoor Christmas Tree Walk – A Great Success!

January 10, 2017 by Roseau County Historical Society

The first Indoor Christmas Tree Walk was a great success raising $370 for the historical society. We want to thank Roseau Cub Scouts Pack 56, Girlfriends Winter Break-Away, Roseau Community Church Fitnext, Brandt’s Board Art & Traveling Vineyard, Roseau Women of Today, Sons of Norway Nordlys Lodge, Maurices and the Reeses, Lucky Border Stars Relay Team, Beauties against the Beast Relay Team, Roseau Cool Clover Kids 4-H, Roseau 1st year Brownie Troop 20253, and International Student Exchange for decorating trees. Visitors were able to vote for their favorite tree(s) by placing a monetary donation in a box located next to each organizations tree.

The winners of the 2016 tree walk were 1st Place: Sons of Norway Nordlys Lodge, 2nd Place: Roseau Cub Scout Pack 56, and 3rd Place: International Student Exchange.

We had very positive responses and plan to do the event next year. If anyone has an artificial Christmas tree in good condition that they would like to donate for next year’s event, feel free to drop it off during business hours.

1st Place Winner

2nd Place Winner
