Light Up The Museum – Tree Decorating Contest & Tour

Roseau County Museum seeks creative people!

 

The Roseau County Museum is planning for the Seventh Annual Indoor Tree Walk, which will open on November 28 and run through December 22. This year we renamed the event to LIGHT UP THE MUSEUM, a tree decorating contest & tour.

Here is your chance to contribute your creativity and decorate a tree to be viewed by visitors over the holidays. We invite organizations, groups, businesses, families, friends, or individuals to decorate a tree. We encourage you to be creative but tasteful and show your competitive side with your decorated tree. We have several 6ft and over artificial trees and lights available on a first come basis. Or, you may choose to bring an artificial tree of any size.

There will be a contest where visitors can vote for their favorite tree or trees. Voters will place money in boxes at each tree to vote for their favorite(s). There will also be an online option for people to vote. Three trees with the most money in their boxes will win the 2023 LIGHT UP THE MUSEUM.

All proceeds from the boxes will benefit the Roseau County Museum’s mission of preserving and presenting Roseau County history.

The top three trees will be awarded prizes.

Tree Walk Registration Form

  • Space is limited. Forms should be submitted by November 15, after the 15th please call or email to check available space. There is a $10 registration fee for participation, this can be paid prior to or at setup. Pay here or make checks payable to Roseau County Historical Society. The museum can provide trees and lights. All decorations are to be furnished and are the responsibility of the participating parties. Your group is responsible for decorating the tree and taking down decorations. . The registration deadline is Friday, November 24, by 5:00 p.m.  Space is limited. Completed registration forms can be returned by mail, email, or dropped off at the Roseau County Museum.
