Listen to the Weekly Radio Readings by Sheila Winstead, RCHS Board Member
Recorded September 2017
September 3 & 10 In 2014, Bert Wenner wrote a story about his family, which is on file in the Roseau County Museum’s family history area. I’ve been reading from that story about the older generations of Bert’s family, and now I’ll read about how his parents met. Louise was a widow with two children, and Lambert worked as a clerk at Heyerdahl’s Drug Store in Roseau.
September 17 A brief history of the Pinecreek Log Church and start of the area.
September 24 If you head out of Roseau toward Badger, about halfway there you’ll go through the community of Fox. Today I’ll read a little history of that community which Jeanette Erickson wrote for publication in the Roseau County Heritage book in 1992.
Thank you to Wild 102 FM for letting us share the history of our county with your listeners.
