August 4, 2019, About 70 years ago, a tragedy occurred on Lake of the Woods. It was written about in the Roseau Times-Region of June 23, 1949, and I’ll read that article to you today.

August 11, 2019, With the big celebration of Polaris being scheduled next week, I thought I’d read a little bit of Polaris History assembled by Irene Olson many years ago. Her research was from several Roseau Times-Region newspapers published between 1944 and 1999.

A June 25, 1944 article tells that Edgar Hetteen invents Electric Power Lift-it will be made at OK Welding and Machine Shop. Edgar, was in charge of the Roseau County garage since Tom Gardner left, and a short time ago Edgar quit to get ready to enter the Navy…

August 25, 2019, Last week I read a story about a Roseau business that no longer exists. It was one of many that were featured in the Roseau Times-Region in 1954. Today I’ll read another from the May 13 issue that same year. The title was “Brist’s Jewelry Store Features Quality Items”.
