March 5 reading from an article published in the Roseau Times of July 26, 1895, the first year of Roseau being its own County. This article describes the businesses located in the town of Roseau that year.
March 12 A tragedy occurred on Lake of the Woods just before Christmas in 1944. An article appeared in the Roseau Times-Region on December 21, 1944, telling the story. The headline was “Cecil Cyrus Loses Life on Lake”.
March 19 This story happened almost 80 years ago. It comes from the Roseau Times-Region issue of January 20, 1938. The title of the column was “Youth Held in Car Theft, J. A. Helgeson’s Pontiac Car Taken Saturday Night and Wrecked South of Town”.
March 26 This week Sheila reads from a written history of Vernon Russell Sunset called, “The Life & Times of Vernon Russell Sunset”.
