There’s a new way to explore Roseau and hear some of the stories behind the places we see every day. The Talking Trail takes you to 10 locations around the community, sharing stories about the history of people, industries, recreation, and the things that have helped shape Roseau.
Each Talking Point has a sign with a QR code and phone number. Simply scan the code with your phone or call the number to hear the story connected to that location. You can visit one stop while you’re out and about, or follow the map below and explore all 10. You can start anywhere on the trail; each point stands alone. If you have the
Talking Points feature the Roseau mural, agriculture in Roseau County, Hayes Lake State Park, the Roseau County Courthouse, and more.
Staff researched and wrote the stories, with help from people versed in the subjects. Partnerships and community support made the project possible, helping us create another way to share area history.
Whether you’ve lived here your whole life, are new to Roseau, or are just visiting, we hope you’ll get out and give the Talking Trail a try.
And while there are 10 stops to explore today, this is just the beginning. We hope to continue adding new Talking Points and new stories throughout Roseau County.
If you have a point of interest in your town, let us know, and we’ll add it to the list to consider.
