August 6 One of he five Pinecreek, MN settlers, Lars C. Rugland, also known as Lewis C. Rugland. Much of this story comes from the book “Pioneers, O Pioneers”, compiled by Roseau County Historical Society and Warroad Bicentennial Committee. Other information comes from the Heritage Book published in 1992, and a booklet published to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the settlement of Pinecreek.
August 13, 20, and 27 In the collection at the Roseau County Museum Sheila found a copy of a Wenner family history, written by Bert Wenner in 2014. This part of it is called The Early Years of the Wenner and Mork Families in America, 1890 – 1925.
