Crop Art Classes

Try something a little different and get hands-on with Minnesota’s favorite fair tradition, taught by Marta Shore, MN State Fair Crop Art Grand Champion. This two-hour Crop Art class is a fun introduction where you’ll create your first piece using simple templates inspired by local themes. Along the way, you’ll hear about the history and spirit of crop art, along with a few stories that bring it to life. Everyone will leave with a take-home kit filled with grains, seeds, and supplies so you can keep creating on your own.
Open to ages 8 and up with an adult present, or 13 and up on your own.
Classes will be held at:
- June 4 at 6 p.m. at Folk School Warroad
- June 5 at 10 a.m. at Badger Community Center
Free to attend, but pre-registration is required to hold your spot. REGISTER HERE
These classes are brought to you by the Roseau County Museum and Folk School Warroad.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
